Lord Monkton isn't quite right. Still, stifling his free speech is not on.
The world has warmed since 1996, just not significantly. To claim there has been no warming is like saying that, in the last 16 years it has not rained anywhere in the world. Just because the rates and scale of the warming hasn't been great, that doesn't mean it hasn't warmed.
1998 was the hottest year since records began in the 1850s. So from that you see the Lord Monkton is incorrect. It's just a quick Google search to debunk that myth.
I am a AGW skeptic. I believe that blaming man for significant, or insignificant rises in global temperature, is a simple and lazy way of answering the questions of this debate.
I just wish that my side would stop repeating this claim as if it were fact. The world has warmed. Yes. Are we going to drown in 30 foot seas and swelter in oven like conditions? No.
But reason never was a forte of the Left.
